Household ranks in the Minions, which do not reflect ranks in the Midrealm Army:
A trainee who has not yet authorized in armored combat. Only one has earned a name.
A new private, a rookie, a fighter who has not yet fought a Pennsic War.
A war veteran, but still a private in rank. The backbone of the Minions.
A sergeant of an eight-man contubernium, the smallest unit in the Roman army. Decani wear a red shoulder.
A Lieutenant in Legio Darkyard, Vici's rank, second to the Centurion.
A Captain in the Legion, Vito's rank in Legio Darkyard.
Assignments are a Minion's current MOS, the battlefield task currently assigned:
The basic heavy infantry shieldman, in lorica segmentata, our signature armor.
A skirmisher, lighter and faster than the heavy legionaries, fighting with whatever weapons suit that duty.
A spear or polearm fighter assigned to fight with the legionaries.
Combat archers, using bows or crossbows.
Waterbearers, without whom we could not fight.
The photographers assigned to taking photos and video of Vito and his Minions.
The standard bearer, carries the Minion flag.
Many Minions are currently not assigned to the battlefield for any one of several reasons:
Those who have told Vito they have retired, and have had that retirement accepted by Vito.
Those who are ready to fight, if scheduling and an available kit should coincide.
Those who have been forced to retire due to injury or medical condition.
Those who have been transferred out of the Minions and into other fighting units.
Those who passed away.
Those with whom Vito's Minions have lost contact.
Minions who have fought ten Pennsic Wars, or served on the battlefield for ten years or more. Their experience is of great value.
